Our services encompass the management of chronic disabling neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions. Many of our patients suffer from chronic pain syndromes and we treat them for these as well.
The treatment protocols provided by us are based on the application and use of medications – oral, topical and by infiltration – for the management of chronic pain, arthritic illnesses and complex nerve and muscle disorders. We treat patients with conditions such as chronic back and neck pain, peripheral neuropathy, complex regional pain syndromes, joint and tendon inflammations, chronic tendinitis and bursitis, fibromyalgia, chronic headaches, muscle spasm disorders, arthritis of different joints, deconditioned neuromuscular status, etc. These conditions may be the result of injuries, sporting events or they may occur gradually due to age, genetic or other illnesses. Our experience is over a quarter of a century. Our treatment protocols are geared towards maximizing function and independence for the patient. We provide options to minimize undue reliance on medications.
As applicable we refer patients to specialists in surgery, physical and occupational therapy, general medicine or other medical specialties, counseling, etc. to further advance their care and expedite their improvement. We oversee the progress of patients as they negotiate the many facets of multidisciplinary care and provide medical insight and services as well as administrative assistance to such chronically ill individuals as they interact with the many private, State and Federal agencies addressing their difficult and persistent medical issues.
Chronic illnesses take their toll on the suffering individual. They affect such individuals medically, psychologically, socially and financially. Our familiarity with the multiple medical and administrative needs of such patients allows us to counsel, treat and direct them so that their disabilities are minimized and they become more focused on their abilities.
